Our Beg & Intermediate Extreme level is perfect for those that want to take their training to the next level with more instruction and stage time. They train in jazz technique, ballet, tap, tumble and overall body conditioning & strengthening.

Our Extreme level boosts confidence, encourages team bonding and is a great introduction to the competitive dance world.

Shannon is our newest addition to the JBDA crew!
She is our company co-director and teaches a few of our recreation classes!

Shannon Young has a BA in Dance Education from UNC Charlotte and over 15 years of experience teaching in Charlotte area studios. She has been honored with awards for her innovative choreography. She is dedicated to nurturing aspiring dancers and fostering a love for dance in her students. For the past 14 years, she has also had the privilege of enriching the Charlotte Mecklenburg School system as a dance teacher. Her approach blends technical proficiency with creative expression, aiming to instill confidence and artistry in every student.

The disappearance of Zelig Williams on Thursday October 3rd has become a real life nightmare for the arts communities, friends, and especially family who love this incredible man.

Born and raised in Columbia, South Carolina Zelig has created a prolific career with credits including Hamilton the Broadway Musical, MJ the Musical, and a national tour with Hugh Jackman. Even more importantly, Zelig exudes bright light while sharing his gifts with all ages and ability levels, inspires others while earnestly sharing his faith journey, and attempts to normalize mental health stigmas by bravely discussing his personal struggle and triumph.

Those who have met Zelig can’t help but be reminded of his warmth… easy flow of conversation, and the spirit that pours out of him while sharing his God-given talents both on and offstage.

At this time we are fervently raising funds to assist Zelig’s family with any expenses that arise as part of this developing, heart-breaking situation.

The family would like everyone to know that they are so grateful for the outpouring of love and support during this time. They ask that we all continue to post on social media and share Zelig's Missing Persons far and wide. We need you and everyone you know to get his missing persons flyer out. Please continue to pray for our Zelig to be found and brought home safely.
